[0007] Another object of the present invention is to provide a weight training machine capable of displaying information about weight exercises using a user terminal having a Bluetooth communication function and a Wi-Fi communication function. [0008] In accordance with an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a weight training machine, including a frame configured to have a rectangular and sectional shape; a pair of guide rods fixedly installed in the frame in their length direction; a plurality of sensors 2 disposed along the guide rods at specific intervals; a plurality of weight blocks which are moving objects configured to reciprocate up and down along the guide rods and are disposed at locations corresponding to the sensors; a fixing bar formed on the same axis as that of grooves formed on the lower sides of the respective weight blocks and configured to have holes into each of which a pin having a magnetic component for turning on the sensor is inserted formed in the fixing bar and to reciprocate up and down along with a corresponding weight block fixed by the pin; a cable connected to the fixing bar and connected to a handle that may be lifted by a user; and a weight exercise management terminal configured to include an exercise management unit for receiving the sensing signal of a corresponding sensor output in accordance with the moving path of a corresponding weight block, checking the quantity of motion by checking the weight, moving distance, and moving speed of the weight block calculated by the sensor based on the sensing signal, counting the number of effective exercises only when an actual exercise range of the user of the weight training machine with respect to the moving distance of the weight block falls between a minimum value and maximum value of a predetermined proper exercise range, and displaying information about the counted number of effective exercises on a display unit. 3 [0009] In this case, the display unit includes a handheld terminal capable of Bluetooth communication and Wi-Fi communication. The weight exercise management terminal forms a Bluetooth network or a Wi-Fi network along with the display unit and sends the information about the number of effective exercises to the display unit so that the information about the number of effective exercises is displayed on the display unit. [0010] Furthermore, the weight exercise management terminal displays the proper exercise range on the display unit and displays the checked actual moving range on the display unit along with the proper exercise range. [0011] Furthermore, the weight exercise management terminal displays the weight of a weight block now set in the weight training machine and displays the set weight on the display unit along with the counted number of effective exercises. [0012] Furthermore, the weight exercise management terminal further displays information about body muscles used by the weight training machine on the display unit. The information about the body muscles includes information about a first muscle part used when the weight block upward moves and information about a second muscle part used when the weight block downward moves. The first muscle part is displayed when the weight block is found to move upward in response to the sensing signal, the second muscle part is displayed when the weight block is found to move downward in response to the 4 sensing signal, and the first muscle part and the second muscle part used by the weight training machine are intersected and displayed in the actual exercise range so that information about muscles now being used is provided to the user of the weight training machine. [0013] Furthermore, the weight exercise management terminal further includes an exercise plan setting unit configured to provide a method of using the weight training machine and to provide a set number setting function for setting a specific number of exercises of the weight training machine as one set and a per-one set exercise number setting function for setting the number of repeated exercises included in each set. DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS [0035] The merits and characteristics of the present invention and a method for achieving the merits and characteristics will become apparent from embodiments described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. [0036] However, the present invention is not limited to the disclosed embodiments, but may be implemented in various other forms. The embodiments are only provided to complete the disclosure of the present invention and to allow those skilled in the art to which the present invention pertains to fully understand the category of the present invention. The present invention is defined by the category of the claims. The same reference numbers are used to refer to the same or similar parts throughout the drawings. 10 [0037] Hereinafter, the present invention is described in detail in connection with some exemplary embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings for illustrating a weight training machine. [0038] The weight training machine 1 according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes a weight exercise management terminal 200 configured to measure the weight of a weight block used in the exercise activities of a user and the moving distance of the weight block, that is, an actual exercise range according to the exercise activities of the user, based on a sensing signal for the moving path of the weight block that is moved by the exercise activities of the user, compare the actual exercise range with a predetermined effective exercise range, and count and display the number of effective exercises. [0039] The weight training machine 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a function for detecting an exercise state. The weight exercise management terminal 200 includes a calculation circuit and a corresponding program for receiving a signal generated in response to an exercise state and checking the quantity of motion. [0040] The weight training machine 1 may mean a variety of types of exercise equipment, such as barbell, dumbbell, and an incline chest press which enable the contraction and relaxation exercises of muscles, rather than specific exercise equipment. 11 In the present invention, an incline chest press is described as an example. [0041] The weight exercise management terminal 200 preferably is connected to a server 3 at a remote place through wired and/or wireless lines. That is, the weight exercise management terminal 200 has a limited cost and installation space in storing data regarding an individual exercise prescription. Accordingly, the server 3 for storing the corresponding data preferably may be separately provided. [0042] FIG. 1 is a general conceptual diagram of the weight training machine 1 according to an embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a diagram illustrating the configuration of the weight training machine. [0043] As illustrated in FIG. 1, the weight training machine 1 may include a frame 11 made of metal and configured to have approximately a rectangular and sectional shape, a pair of guide rods 12 fixedly installed in the frame 11 in their length direction, a plurality of sensors 21 disposed along the guide rods at specific intervals, a plurality of weight blocks 13 disposed at locations corresponding to the sensors and assembled with the guide rods 12 in such a way as to reciprocate up and down along the guide rods 12, a fixing bar 16 formed on the same axis as that of grooves HM formed on the lower sides of the respective weight blocks 13 and configured to have holes HL into each of which a pin 15 having a magnetic 12 component for turning on a corresponding sensor is inserted formed therein and to reciprocate up and down along with a corresponding weight block 13 fixed by the pin 15, and a cable 17 connected to the fixing bar 16 and connected to a handle (not illustrated) that may be lifted by a user. [0044] The weight training machine 1 may further include a buffering member 14 disposed at the bottom of the guide rods 12 and configured to absorb an impact to the frame 11 attributable to a sudden drop of the weight blocks 13. [0045] In this case, the weight exercise management terminal 200 is further included in the weight training machine 1. The weight exercise management terminal 200 receives the sensing signal of a corresponding sensor output in accordance with the moving path of a corresponding weight block, checks the quantity of motion by checking the weight, moving distance, and moving speed of the weight block calculated by the sensor based on the sensing signal, counts the number of effective exercises only when an actual exercise range of the user of the weight training machine with respect to the moving distance of the weight block falls between a minimum value and maximum value of a predetermined proper exercise range, and displays information about the counted number of effective exercises on a display unit. [0046] FIG. 3 is a conceptual diagram of sensing according to an embodiment of the present invention. A lead switch may 13 be used as the sensor 21. That is, the lead switch that performs a switching operation by the magnetism of the pin fixed to the fixing bar 16 and configured to reciprocate along with the weight block is disposed in each of the weight blocks 13 so that the location of a corresponding weight block 13 can be checked. A moving distance and an exercise speed may be checked by the switching of the plurality of lead switches. In the present embodiment, for the switching of the lead switches, a magnet 22 may be coupled with one or both ends of the pin 15 or may be coupled with both ends of the handle of the pin 15. In this case, the distance between the lead switches and the number of lead switches may be previously set and stored in the weight exercise management terminal 200 in order to precisely check the weight, moving distance, and moving speed of a moving object. Furthermore, if the number of lead switches is greater than the number of weight blocks, the quantity of motion may be measured more precisely. In the present embodiment, the lead switches have been illustrated as being used as the sensors, but a variety of types of sensors, such as touch switches or optical sensors, may be used as the sensors. [0047] In this specification, only an incline chest press is described as an example, but the present invention may also be applied to various weight training machines capable of checking the quantity of motion based on a relationship with the quantity of corresponding motion stored in a database in 14 accordance with the sensing value of a motion while moving in a defined space in which the sensor is provided. For example, in the case of exercise using dumbbell, the dumbbell is sensed by the plurality of sensors while moving in a space in which the plurality of sensors is provided, and thus the quantity of motion is checked based on the original locations of the sensors. In this case, the weight of the dumbbell does not need to be separately measured because the dumbbell itself has its unique weight. Furthermore, a moving distance and a moving speed may be checked using only two sensors. In this case, a moving distance and a moving speed may be measured by checking time when each sensor is turned on because the distance between the sensors has been previously set. [0048] FIG. 4 is a block diagram of a control circuit included in the weight exercise management terminal 200 of the weight training machine according to an embodiment of the present invention. [0049] As illustrated in FIG. 4, an exercise prescription system including the weight training machine according to an embodiment of the present invention may include a card recognition unit 228 configured to recognize the user of the weight training machine by recognizing an RFID or electronic card owned by the user, sensors 21 configured to detect the location of a moving object like the lead switches, a microprocessor 229 configured to check the weight, moving 15 distance, and moving speed of the moving object by analyzing the location of the moving object based on sensing signals received from the sensors 21 and to calculate the quantity of motion based on the checked exercise data, and a communication module 260 configured to send the exercise data to a display unit 230 for displaying the exercise data to the user or send the exercise data to the database (DB) 31 of the server 3. [0050] In order to give an exercise prescription in real time, the exercise prescription system may further include a sound generation unit (not illustrated). That is, the exercise prescription system may check the location, distance, and speed of a moving object moved by a user in real time in the state in which the body type of the user has been previously been stored in the database and instruct the user on an exercise method in real time based on a result of the check. [0051] The communication module 260 may adopt a wired and/or wireless method. A network using Ethernet preferably may be constructed by taking into consideration a plurality of weight training machines connected to the exercise prescription system. In particular, the communication module 260 includes a Bluetooth communication function and a Wi-Fi communication function. [0052] Furthermore, the microprocessor 229 calculates the quantity of motion. In some embodiments, a separate 16 calculation device may be used in order to reduce management costs. [0053] FIG. 5 is an exemplary diagram of a flowchart illustrating a process of controlling the weight training machine according to an embodiment of the present invention. A control process using an incline chest press, that is, one of weight training machines, is described below. [0054] As illustrated in FIG. 5, when a user brings his or her RFID or electronic card close to the card recognition unit 228, a user certification process may be performed at step Sl. In the user certification process, when the unique code of the user read by the card recognition unit 228 is transferred to the microprocessor 229, the microprocessor sends the unique code to the server 3 through the communication module 260. The server 3 searches the database 31 for the unique code, reads user information corresponding to the unique code, and displays the results of the user certification on the display unit 230. [0055] After the sex, name, age, body fat, physical state, number of exercises per week, and past quantity of motion of the user are displayed to the user, an exercise program required for the user may be provided visually and acoustically at step S2. [0056] Thereafter, the user performs manipulations with reference to the exercise program at step S3. More specifically, the user inserts the pin 15 into a weight block 17 corresponding to weight instructed by the exercise program. In response thereto, a corresponding lead switch is turned on by the magnet 22 attached to the pin 15 at step S4. When then corresponding lead switch is turned on, the microprocessor 229 checks the corresponding lead switch and calculates the weight of the corresponding weight block at step S5. Thereafter, the user takes exercise by reciprocating weight blocks up and down. In this case, a lead switch at a corresponding location is repeatedly turned on/off by the magnet of the pin. The microprocessor 229 may calculate the number of times that the lead switches are turned on/off and may display the quantity of motion on the display unit 230 in real time or instruct the user on exercise in a voice form at step S6. As described above, the microprocessor 229 may calculate the weight, moving distance, and moving speed of a moving object and evaluate weight exercise metabolism, the quantity of motion (or work), a total quantity of motion (or a total volume), and the type of exercise (e.g., power, muscular power, muscular endurance, and body shaping) at step S7. [0057] When the exercise is finished at step S8, for example, after a set time is reached, the microprocessor 229 checks a total quantity of motion and displays the checked quantity of motion on the display unit 230. That is, the microprocessor 229 measures the total quantity of motion and immediately provides achievement and improvement % visually and 18 acoustically at step S9. If the exercise is not finished at step S8, that is, if the user wants to differently set weight and take exercise, the user may press a specific button and proceed to step S3 at step S10. [0058] As described above, the weight training machine 1 includes the frame 11 configured to have approximately a rectangular and sectional shape, the pair of guide rods 12 fixed to the frame 11 in their length direction, the plurality of sensors 21 disposed along the guide rods at specific intervals, the plurality of weight blocks 13 (i.e., moving objects that reciprocate along the guide rods up and down) disposed at locations corresponding to the sensors, the fixing bar 16 formed on the same axis as that of the grooves HM formed on the lower sides of the respective weight blocks 13 and configured to have the holes HL into each of which the pin 15 having a magnetic component for turning on a corresponding sensor is inserted formed therein and to reciprocate up and down along with a corresponding weight block 13 fixed by the pin 15, the cable 17 connected to the fixing bar 16 and connected to the handle that may be lifted by a user, and the weight exercise management terminal 200 configured to include an exercise management unit 220 for receiving the sensing signal of a corresponding sensor output in accordance with the moving path of a corresponding weight block, checking the quantity of motion by checking the weight, moving distance, and 19 moving speed of the weight block calculated by the sensor based on the sensing signal, counting the number of effective exercises only when an actual exercise range of the user of the weight training machine with respect to the moving distance of the weight blocks falls between a minimum value and maximum value of a predetermined proper exercise range, and displaying information about the counted number of effective exercises on the display unit 230. [0059] FIG. 6 is a block diagram of the weight training machine according to an embodiment of the present invention and is a block diagram illustrating the configuration of the weight exercise management terminal 200 included in the weight training machine. FIG. 7 is a block diagram of the weight exercise management terminal 200 and is a block diagram illustrating an example in which the display unit 230 is implemented using a handheld terminal and the handheld terminal, together with the exercise management unit 220, forms a Bluetooth network. FIG. 8 is a block diagram of the weight exercise management terminal 200 and is a block diagram illustrating an example in which the display unit 230 is implemented using a handheld terminal and the handheld terminal, together with the exercise management unit 220, forms a Wi-Fi network. FIG. 9 is a detailed configuration of the exercise management unit 220. FIG. 10 is a diagram 20 illustrating a detailed configuration of the effective exercise range measurement unit. [0060] The weight exercise management terminal 200 included in the weight training machine according to an embodiment of the present invention is described in detail below with reference to FIGS. 6 to 10. [0061] The weight exercise management terminal 200 includes the exercise management unit 220 configured to receive a sensing signal from the sensor 21 for outputting the sensing signal in accordance with the moving path of a corresponding weight block, check the quantity of motion by checking the weight, moving distance, and moving speed of the weight block calculated based on the received sensing signal, count the number of effective exercises only when an actual exercise range falls between a minimum value and maximum value of a predetermined proper exercise range with respect to the moving distance of the weight block by the user of the weight training machine, and display information about the counted number of effective exercises on the display unit 230. [0062] In this case, the display unit 230 may be implemented using a handheld terminal capable of Bluetooth communication and Wi-Fi communication. [0063] That is, the display unit 230 is a handheld terminal capable of Bluetooth communication and Wi-Fi communication. The weight exercise management terminal 200 forms a Bluetooth 21 network or a Wi-Fi network along with the display unit 230, that is, the handheld terminal, sends information about the number of effective exercises to the display unit 230 so that the information about the number of effective exercises is displayed on the display unit. [0064] If the display unit 230 and the weight exercise management terminal 200 form a Wi-Fi network, a wireless sharer 290 may be further included in order to form the Wi-Fi network as illustrated in FIG. 8. [0065] That is, the display unit 230 is a handheld terminal, such as a smart phone capable of Bluetooth communication and Wi-Fi communication. The weight exercise management terminal 200 includes the communication module 260 for selectively forming a Bluetooth network or Wi-Fi network along with the display unit 230 and sending information about the number of effective exercises and a variety of types of information to the display unit, that is, a handheld terminal, through Bluetooth communication or Wi-Fi communication so that the information is displayed on the display unit. [0066] In this case, the weight exercise management terminal 200 displays the proper exercise range on the display unit 230 and also displays the calculated actual exercise range on the display unit along with the proper exercise range, so a user who uses the weight training machine may check the exercise 22 range of his or her exercise operation and perform weight exercises in the proper exercise range. [0067] The weight exercise management terminal 200 displays the weight of a weight block, currently set in the weight training machine 1, based on the sensing signal and also displays the weight of a weight block on the display unit 230 along with the counted number of effective exercises. [0068] That is, the weight exercise management terminal 200 induces the user of the weight training machine to take proper exercise while checking weight that is being used and the number of his or her weight exercises. [0069] In this case, in the weight exercise management terminal 200, a proper rise speed range of a checked weight block with respect to a moving speed at which the checked weight block upward moves in the proper exercise range and a proper fall speed range of the checked weight block with respect to a moving speed at which the checked weight block downward moves in the proper exercise range may be set according to the weight of the weight block checked by the sensing signal. Furthermore, the number of effective exercises may be counted only when an actual moving speed of the weight block checked based on the sensing signal in a rise exercise range that belongs to an actual exercise range of the weight block and in which the weight block upward moves is included in the proper rise speed range and an actual moving speed of the 23 weight block checked based on the sensing signal in a fall exercise range that belongs to the actual exercise range of the weight block and in which the weight block downward moves is further included in the proper fall speed range. [0070] In this case, when a movement of the weight block is detected based on the sensing signal, the weight exercise management terminal 200 displays information about the proper rise speed range and the proper fall speed range on the display unit. In this case, the weight exercise management terminal 200 displays an actual rise moving speed of the weight block along with the information about the proper rise speed range in the rise exercise range that belongs to the actual exercise range of the weight block and in which the weight block upward moves and also displays an actual fall moving speed of the weight block along with the information about the proper fall speed range in the fall exercise range that belongs to the actual exercise range of the weight block and in which the weight block downward moves. [0071] The reason for this is to prevent a problem in that exercise efficiency is significantly reduced compared to the number of exercises using an actual weight block because a user frequently does not maintain the rise and fall exercises of a weight block according to the proper speed ranges of the rise moving speed and fall moving speed of the weight block at which the weight block rises or falls although the proper speed 24 ranges are determined when the user takes exercise using the weight training machine and thus to induce a user to take the most efficient exercise. [0072] That is, the reason for this is to display information about a rise speed when a weight block rises and information about a fall speed when the weight block falls depending on the type of weight training machine and the weight of the weight block and to induce the user of the weight training machine to take exercise at the proper rise speed and proper fall speed of the weight block, for preferred exercises using the weight training machine. [0073] Furthermore, the weight exercise management terminal 200 further displays information about body muscles, used by the weight training machine 100, on the display unit 230 and displays muscles, used by the user of the weight training machine used in the actual exercise range in which the weight block is moved, on the display unit 230 along with the information about the body muscles. [0074] That is, the muscle parts of the body according to the use of the weight training machine are displayed on the display unit 230 so that a corresponding user can check whether desired muscle exercises are properly performed. [0075] More specifically, in the weight exercise management terminal 200, information about a first muscle part used when the weight block upward moves and information about a second 25 muscle part used when the weight block downward moves are set in the body muscle information. Furthermore, the first muscle part is displayed when the weight block is found to move upward in response to the sensing signal, the second muscle part is displayed when the weight block is found to move downward in response to the sensing signal, and the first muscle part and the second muscle part used by the weight training machine are intersected and displayed in the actual exercise range. Accordingly, the user of the weight training machine can be provided with information about muscles that are now being used (refer to FIGS. 14 and 15). [0076] That is, muscles used in the muscle relaxation exercise range of the weight training machine are displayed in an exercise range in which muscles of the user are relaxed in the actual exercise range, and muscles used in the muscle contraction exercise range of the weight training machine are displayed in an exercise range in which the muscles of the user are contracted in the actual exercise range. Accordingly, the user of the weight training machine may precisely check the exercise situation of desired muscles to be exercised and may be induced to take exercise for desired muscles. [0077] In this case, the display unit 230 may be a handheld terminal capable of Bluetooth communication and Wi-Fi communication. The weight exercise management terminal 200 forms a Bluetooth network or a Wi-Fi network along with the 26 display unit 230, that is, a handheld terminal, through the communication module 260 having Bluetooth communication and Wi Fi communication functions. Accordingly, information about the proper exercise range, the weight of the weight block, and the body muscle may be transmitted from the exercise management unit 220 to the display unit 230 and displayed on the display unit 230 as described above. [0078] The weight exercise management terminal 200 further includes an exercise plan setting unit 210 configured to provide a method of using the weight training machine 100 and to provide a set number setting function for setting a specific number of exercises of the weight training machine 100 as one set and a per-one set exercise number setting function for setting the number of repeated exercises included in each set. [0079] In this case, the weight exercise management terminal 200 displays the number of sets and the number of exercises per set, set in the exercise plan setting unit 210, on the display unit 230 and provides a function for counting the number of exercises per set according to the number of effective exercises of the user of the weight training machine and a function for counting the number of sets that has been set as described above. [0080] As illustrated in FIG. 9, the exercise plan setting unit 210 may include a mode selection unit 211 for selecting any one of a target setting exercise mode 213 in which the user 27 of the weight training machine sets the number of sets and the number of repeated exercises per set as described above, a program mode 214 in which the number of sets and the number of repeated exercises per set are provided to the user of the weight training machine in accordance with a pre-programmed exercise plan, and an autonomous mode 212 in which the user freely take exercise. [0081] In this case, the weight exercise management terminal 200 may further include a voice guide unit configured to provide information about the remaining number of exercises per set and the remaining number of sets with respect to the number of sets and the number of exercises per set, set in the exercise plan setting unit, in a voice form in real time. [0082] The weight exercise management terminal 200 may further include an effective exercise range measurement unit 225 configured to previously store information about the body of a user, that is, body information including height and weight, and to compute the effective exercise range of the weight training machine 1 based on information about the body of a corresponding user using a predetermined effective exercise range setting program. [0083] In this case, the weight exercise management terminal 200 displays the effective exercise range of a corresponding user, measured by the effective exercise range measurement unit 225, on the display unit 230 along with the proper exercise 28 range and also displays the actual exercise range. Accordingly, the user of the weight training machine can take precise exercise according to his or her physical characteristics. [0084] The weight exercise management terminal 200 may further include an effective exercise number count unit 226 configured to count the number of effective exercises only when the actual exercise range is performed in a range greater than the effective exercise range of the corresponding user calculated by the effective exercise range measurement unit 225. The weight exercise management terminal 200 displays the number of counts of the effective exercise number count unit 226 on the display unit 230. [0085] The weight exercise management terminal 200 may further include an exercise state measurement unit 227 configured to measure information about an exercise state, including the weight of a set weight block, the number of sets according to exercise mode set in the exercise plan setting unit 210 and the number of repeated exercises per set, and the number of effective exercises and the number of sets performed by a corresponding user. [0086] In this case, the weight exercise management terminal 200 displays information about a current exercise state, measured by the exercise state measurement unit 227, on the display unit 230. 29 [0087] As illustrated in FIG. 10, the effective exercise range measurement unit 225 may include a total exercise range determination unit 222 configured to determine a total exercise range of the weight training machine, an effective exercise range determination unit 223 configured to determine the effective exercise range based on the information about the body of the user, and a current exercise moving range determination unit 224 configured to determine the actual exercise range.
