Abstract
AFTER SEX SEMEN PAD AND WIPE Abstract A feminine hygiene item (10) including an absorbent body (11) to which there is attached a wipe sheet (12). The wipe sheet (12) is secured to the body (11) by the body (11) edge portion (14) and the edge portion (17) of the sheet (12).
Description
1 AFTER SEX SEMEN PAD AND WIPE Technical Field The present invention relates to feminine hygiene pads, and more particularly but not exclusively feminine hygiene pads that are secured to the underwear of a user. 5 Background of the Invention Feminine hygiene pads consisted generally of an elongated absorbent pad body frequently provided with a fluid impervious backing sheet. The backing sheet may also be provided with an adhesive to aid in securing the pad to the underwear. Typically the adhesive would be covered by a removable sheet. 10 A disadvantage of the above pads is that although they are absorbent, due to the female anatomy, they frequently do not remove all body fluids. Object of the Invention It is the object of the present invention to overcome or substantially ameliorate the above disadvantage. 15 Summary of the Invention There is disclosed herein a pad item including: a pad body to be secured to underwear of user of the item, the body being longitudinally elongated so as to have a pair of longitudinally extending transversely spaced edge portions; and 20 a wipe sheet, the wipe sheet having a longitudinal length and a longitudinally extending edge portion secured to one of the edge portions of the pad body along the longitudinal length of the sheet so that the sheet is removably attached to the pad body. Preferably, the sheet is of rectangular configuration so as to have a transverse width. 25 Preferably, the sheet has a plurality of longitudinally extending fold lines providing for folding of the sheet. Preferably, the pad is of a generally rectangular configuration and has a pair of longitudinally spaced transverse fold lines.
2 Preferably, the pad has a material to aid in securing the pad body to the wearer's underwear. Brief Description of the Drawings A preferred form of the present invention will now be described by way of s example with reference to the accompanying drawings wherein: Figure 1 is a schematic top plan of a combination of pad and wipe sheet; Figure 2 is a schematic bottom plan view of the combination of Figure 1; and Figure 3 is a schematic plan view of the pad and wipe combination of Figures 1 and 2 in a folded configuration. 10 Detailed Description of the Preferred Embodiment In the accompanying drawings there is schematically depicted a feminine hygiene pad item 10. The item 10 is a combination of a pad body II and a wipe sheet 12. The body 11 is an absorbent body and is of a generally rectangular configuration so as to have generally parallel transversely spaced longitudinal edge portions 13 and 14, joined 15 by end transverse portions 15. Preferably, the body 11 includes longitudinally spaced transverse fold lines 16 which aid in folding the body 11. Removably secured to the longitudinally extending edge portion 14 is the wipe sheet 12. Preferably, the sheet 12 is of a rectangular configuration so as to include a 20 longitudinally extending edge portion 17, secured to the body edge portion 15. Preferably, the sheet 12 has a pair of longitudinally extending fold lines 18 that are transversely spaced to facilitate folding the sheet 12. Preferably, the body 11 has a surface 19, remote from the wearer, that is coated with a material aiding securing of the body 11 to the user's underwear. Typically a 25 removable sheet would cover the layer till use. When the body 11 and sheet 12 are folded, preferably the sheet 12 is enclosed by the body 11 as seen in Figure 3.

- 2. The item of claim 1, wherein the sheet is of rectangular configuration so io as to have a transverse width.
- 3. The item of claim I or 2, wherein the sheet has a plurality of longitudinally extending fold lines providing for folding of the sheet.
- 4. The item of claim 1, 2 or 3, wherein the pad is of a generally rectangular configuration and has a pair of longitudinally spaced transverse fold lines. 15 5. The item of any one of claims 1 to 4, wherein the pad has a material to aid in securing the pad body to the wearer's underwear.
