Abstract

The invention concerns a modular assembly comprising a device adapted to pivot the seat back (27) about an axis (28, 29) located in the lower part of said seat, between a first position and a second position, and a retractable package shelf system (9) including at least one central shelf (10) comprising, on each lateral edge (12) first and second cam follower forming members (13, 14) projecting outwards relative to said lateral edge (12) and adapted to co-operate each with a first or second complementary member forming a respective cam (15, 16) integral with the body (17) of the vehicle (1). The cam follower forming members (13, 14) and the complementary cam forming members (15, 16) are arranged so as to guide the central shelf (10) along a predetermined path between its two normal and stowed positions in one direction or the other under the action of means actuating said central shelf (10) acting proximate to the front edge of said central shelf (10).
