Abstract

A cladding plate (1) for interior surfaces, in particular in wet rooms such as swimming baths or bathrooms, comprises a sound-insulating and heat-insulating base plate (2) of porous, preferably foamed plastic. To achieve a self-regulation of the atmospheric humidity, the invention provides that the cladding plate (1) is provided on its fair face with a flock layer (3), applied by an electrostatic process, the flock fibres in the said layer being prepared with a salt coating and the adhesive layer (4) anchoring the flock fibres having a water-permeable microporosity. The flock layer is preferably provided with a colour pattern applied by the colour transfer process.
