Abstract

The printed articles (12) are arranged on the advancing device (10) in an imbricated formation (S), in which two printed articles (12) lying one on top of the other rest in each case in an imbricated manner on a pair of subsequent printed articles (12). The printed articles (12) are advanced with their leading edges (32) towards a stop (16). The top one of the printed articles (12) waiting in each case at the stop (16) is lifted by means of the lifting element (40) in the region of the side edge (36') and gripped from below by the slide element (42). By displacing the slide element (42) in the direction towards the stop element (38), the printed article (12') is curved upwards. In the region of the curvature, this printed article (12') is gripped from below by a telescopically extensible transport belt (48') and transported away. <IMAGE>
