Abstract

A security closure is described for use in carrying a container (11). The closure comprises a first member (1) formed with projections (3) for passing through holes (12) formed in the mouth of the container (11) and a second member (2) for engagement with the first member (11) and the projections (3) thereof to close the mouth of the container and hold it closed. At least one of the members is formed with a carrying handle (6,9) and one of the members is formed with an apertured portion (4) to receive a tell-tale (15) or security member passing through an aperture (5) is said portion. The apertured portion is located so that the container cannot be opened from the closed position, either without damaging the tell-tale (15) or due to the presence of the security member (24). The members may be in the form of panels, preferably hinged or one is a panel (20) and the other a rod (23). The container (11) may be a bag, preferably transparent, or a carrying case.
