Abstract

The crate is used in particular for transporting bottles and has ribs arranged in the interior and at least one bottom rib (or bottom surrounding projection) which is offset towards the centre of the crate in relation to the side walls by the width of the upper peripheral edge and, in the case of crates being stacked one above the other, is immersed in a crate stacked below it. The stackable crate is to be designed in such a way that it is already noticed during stacking that there is a non-fitting crate in the stack so that stacks of crates can only be set up if they consist of mutually identical crates.
