Abstract

The helmet has a rigid support shell (2) and a movable visor (3) that is moved between two extreme positions. A maintaining system maintains the visor in any position between the two extreme positions by friction between the support shell and the visor, where the friction is realized by primary and secondary microfiber felt members (4) of the maintaining system. The primary member is attached to a helmet holder, and the secondary member is attached to the visor.
