Abstract

1. Driven whirler pump for liquid fluid, having a pump body divided into two adjacent compartments by a diaphragm (6) having a central opening for forming an input chamber (4) and an output chamber (5) procided with a turbine (11), a tangential liquid outlet tube (9) and a radial projecting guiding surface or web (12) aligned with the wall (14) on the downstream side of the bore of the liquid outlet tube (9) with respect to the rotational sense (13) of the pump turbine, characterized in that said radial projecting guiding surface or web (12) is formed in the diaphragm (6) of the pump and in that the downstream portion (16) of said radial projecting guiding surface or web with respect to the displacement sense of the general fluid flow is filled in a manner to extend the projecting end of said radial web (12) and to gradually approach the level of the latter to the level of the diaphragm surface.
