Abstract

The arm-rest (10) has a guide bar (32) fastened to an arm-rest support. A rotatable arm (30) is rotatably mounted at the support. The arm allows adjustment of the support in an adjustment direction, via a spring force coupling, using the guide bar. A locking mechanism fixes the arm in a closed condition with respect to the guide bar. The rotatable arm is formed as an eccentric arm. The arm-rest support has a trough-shaped recess (44) provided in an area of the rotatable arm. The recess corresponds to the shape and depth of contour of the rotatable arm. An independent claim is also included for a chair comprising a chair support frame.
