Abstract

The vehicle (10) has a vibration damping device including damping masses (15) that are elastically connected with a main frame (11) in a transverse direction of the vehicle such that the device damps arising natural vibrations of the vehicle in a counter phase. A damping mechanism (18) i.e. hydraulic damper, damps movements of the masses. An active actuator controls the masses depending on a movement of the main frame. The masses are suspended at pendulums. The masses are rolled and/or slid on guides, and support elements (16) support the masses.
