Abstract

1. A device for blowing core sand by compressed air into core boxes for a core shooter, including a shooting head (15), between shooting head and core box a blowing plate (6) which is adapted to be detachably fixed onto the shooting head, and further including a blowing tube (2) leading inside a jacket tube (3) to the shooting head, said blowing tube having disposed at the end thereof in the direction of the shooting head a stop which is adapted to be supported against the shooting head at a contact surface in a direction opposing that of the shooting force, the shooting head being detachably fixed to the jacket tube, characterized in that the contact surface (8) acting axially for the blowing tube (2) is formed exclusively by an insert (5) for guiding sand, said insert being removable in the direction of shooting from a jacket (4) of the shooting head (15) after the blowing plate (6) has been detached and in the position for use being held at the side thereof opposite the contact surface (8) by the blowing plate (6).
