Abstract

1. Hydrostatic compensation device for gear hydraulic pumps or motors in which support bearings of the pinions are slidably mounted in the pump body (1) and define, with covers (3, 4) of the pump body, compensation chambers bordered by at least a gasket and in which a pressure is developed for keeping the bearings applied against the side face of the gears, characterized in that the gasket (26) has a U-shaped section the bottom part of which is facing a cover for defining a groove (27) set into communication with a high pressure prevailing in the pump or motor and is provided with an anti-extrusion fitting (28) applied against the cover, subjected to the pressure on its entire surface and extending on the whole support surface, the gasket (26) forming moreover a slight clearance with the bottom portion of the groove (10).
