Abstract
The inventive cathodoluminescent light source comprises a field cathode as an electron source, an anode provided with a light-reflective surface and a cathodoluminescent phosphor applied to the light reflective surface thereof. The cathode and anode are arranged in an evacuated body provided with a transparent surface in order to irradiate the cathodoluminescent phosphor by electron beam on the surface of the anode and enable a luminous flux produced by cathodoluminescence to come out. <IMAGE>
