Composite profile comprises metal profiles (1, 2) joined to each other by single insulating strips (3) via connecting bars (5). Preferred Features: The wall thickness of the single insulating strips is 0.5-1.5 mm, preferably 0.6-1.0 mm. The connecting bars are aligned perpendicular to the single insulating strips. The distance between the metal profiles and the connecting zone of the connecting bars on the single insulating strips is in the region of 25-35% of the total height of the strips.
