Abstract

The present invention relates to an exhaust gas purification device (20) for an internal combustion engine, in particular for a motorcycle, comprising an exhaust pipe (15) connectable to an exhaust port of the internal combustion engine, an upstream side catalyst (21) disposed in the exhaust pipe, a downstream side catalyst (22) disposed in the exhaust pipe at a downstream side of the upstream side catalyst (21), and a muffler (30) being comprised of first (32) and second (33) tubular sections, wherein the upstream side catalyst (21) is at least partially disposed in an inside of the second tubular section (33), and wherein an outer dimension of the second tubular section (33) is smaller than an outer dimension of the first tubular member (32).
