Abstract

In a closure for flaps or doors of vehicles comprising a lock with a lock housing (10) on one of the flap/door and the bodywork and a fastener (11) on the other, where the lock comprises a spring-loaded rotary catch (20) with notch(es) (23, 24) tiltably mounted in the housing to engage with the fastener on closing, a spring-loaded latch (30) mounted in the housing grips the notch(es) to ensure closure and on opening the latch is manually and/or mechanically lifted from the notch(es), a unilaterally acting damping member (40) between the rotary catch and the housing retards the opening motion of the rotary catch.
