Abstract

The door lock's security mechanism (6) is surrounded for all or part of its length projecting from its housing (2) by an anti-tamper shield (12) shaped to receive the projecting portion (7a) of the mechanism's body and fixed to it by a grub screw (14) inserted through a hole beneath the lock rotor (9a). The security mechanism and shield assembly are fixed to the door by at least one screw (20) passing through the door and lock housing from the inside and screwed into a blind threaded hole in the shield.
