Abstract

The hydrant has a tube (1) with a valve housing at its lower end, and water outlets at its upper end. It also has a rod for operating the valve. The length of the tube and the rod can be adjusted, in order to position the level of the hydrant correctly. The equipments (3,4) for adjusting these lengths may be arranged at roughly the same level, and one or both of the equipments may be positioned below the predetermined breaking point (5) of the hydrant. The tube, or a section of it, may also have two parts (7,8) of different diameters. These two parts may be arranged telescopically.
