Abstract

1. A one-sided corrugated cardboard machine comprising a first corrugated roll (10) and a second corrugated roll (11) in meshing engagement with each other and between which a paper web (13) to be corrugated is introduced, an adhesive applicator (18) for dispensing an adhesive onto the peaks of the corrugated cardboard web (14), a contact pressure means cooperating with the second corrugated roll (11) for applying a covering web (20) onto the corrugated cardboard web (14) comprising a first deviation roll (21) and a second deviation roll (22) in parallel spaced arrangement with respect to each other, and via which the covering web (20) coming from an uncoiler is guided in such a manner that it places itself under pressure against the coardboard web (14) on the second corrugated roll (11), and in which a blowing means (25) is arranged between the deviation rolls (21, 22) which builds up a compressed air cushion (27) on the side of the covering web (20) facing away from the second corrugated roll (11), characterized in that the covering web (20) by means of a pull-off device (23) and against a braking means between the uncoiler and the second corrugated roll (11) directly surrounds the deviation rolls (21, 22) with a predetermined tension and serves itself as a contact pressure element and the compressed air cushion (27) is effective directly on the covering web (20).
