Abstract

The reversible knitted fabric, with tuck float stitches, uses a pique fabric structure where the rows of stitches are formed by a single needle bed. The knitting cycle gives a succession of plain rows (1,3) where all the needles form stitches, followed by stitch rows (2,4) where the stitches and yarns are alternated. The alternating rows use two yarns (A,B) to be knitted together and their positions are alternated, to give visual effects on both sides of the fabric.
