Abstract

The heater comprises storage block with a high temperature. It contains electrical resistances (7) and an energy storage core (2). The energy storage core is formed by a block of material in which the electrical resistances are embedded. An insulating cover (3,4,5,6) surrounds the core, defining side, lower (4), upper (5), rear (3) and front (6) parts. On the surface of the side, rear, lower and upper parts a relatively low insulation temperature appertains. A perforated front face (10) is placed in front of a front surface (9) of the block. The thickness of the front part of the insulating cover is restricted so that an average radiation temperature forms on the front surface of the block i.e. greater than the insulation temperature. A radiation plate (8) is positioned against the front part of the insulating cover and is made of metal.
