Abstract

The modular connector system has a base body strip (2) with recesses (4) for cable fibres (15,16) and contact elements (3), in connector modules (1). The contact elements are formed by insulation displacement clamp terminal contacts (3) with contact slits (8) for incoming cable wires (16) and with contact slits (9) for outgoing wires (15). They also have contacts (11) for connecting the overvoltage shunt magazine (6). These contacts (11) are fitted into the module (1) with recesses (4) for the terminal contacts (3) and with chamber (5) for the magazine (6). They are pressed by the cable wires (16) inserted in the base strip (12) and contact them.
