Abstract

A coating applied by cast coating on paper or cardboard contains: as pigment, 70 to 100 parts by weight coating kaolin and/or talc; as binder, 10 to 14 parts by weight latex with a glass transition temperature above 18 DEG C, in relation to 100 parts by weight pigment; 6 to 10 parts by weight starch ether; 0.5 to 3.5 parts by weight of one or several cross-linking auxiliary agents from the group comprising polyamine epichlorhydrine resin, polyamide epichlorhydrine resin, epoxy resin and polyisocianate resin, as well as known cast coating auxiliary agents, added in the usual amounts.
