Abstract

- The invention relates to a temporary sealing device for bottles containing a champagne wine or the like, of the type including; .a cylindrical closure (3), capable of being engaged forcibly in the opening (2A) of the neck of the bottle and closed off by a transverse wall (3B) with annular projection (3C) abutting axially against the annular end face (2D) of the said neck; and .a sealing capsule (protective cap) (4), the periphery of which is intended to be crimped over an outer annular lip of the said neck, and against the inner base (4B) of which is provided a leaktight lining (5) capable of being flattened against the said annular face (2D) of the neck and against the transverse wall (3B) of the said closure. - Advantageously, the said leaktight lining (5) is produced from a synthetic material and it comprises at least one annular leaktight rim (5A or 5B) capable of being flattened against the annular end face (2D) of the said neck, and a plurality of spikes (protuberances) (5C) capable of being flattened against the transverse wall of the said closure. <IMAGE>
