Abstract

1. Detachable handle attachment for brooms, scrubbing brushes or the like, comprising a retaining element (2), which is connected to a handle (1) and has fastening elements (3, 4) which are received by a bristle holder (7) and are resiliently expandable, there being provided to expand the fastening elements (3, 4) a clamping element (5) which has at least one eccentrically operating adjuster (15) arranged between the fastening elements (3, 4), and a pivoting lever (16), which is connected to the said adjuster and which is pivotable between two end positions, the fastening elements (3, 4) being either clamped or unclamped in both end positions of the pivoting lever (16), characterised in that the fastening elements (3, 4; 3', 4') are in the form of plates which are gripped only in the region of their ends remote from the bristle holder (7) and a large area of which is clamped in a slot-like recess (20) in the bristle holder (7), bead-like projections (21) and groove-like recesses (22; 22') which complement one another and which interlock positively when the fastening elements (3, 4; 3', 4') are expanded being formed in these fastening elements (3, 4; 3', 4') and the associated area of the slot-like recess (20) in the bristle holder (7).
