Abstract

Described is corrugated-cardboard packaging (1) for the transport and configured display of items for sale (5), such as dispensers, bottles, tubes, etc., with closures (6) designed to enable the items to be stood on their heads. The packaging consists of a tray (2) forming the floor of the packaging, the tray (2) having a flat bottom (7) and, jointed to the bottom at its edges, short side and end walls (8, 9, 10) pointing vertically upwards, plus a hood (4) designed to be placed over the tray (2) to form a closed box, the hood (4) having a roof (11) and four walls (12, 13, 14). The aim of the invention is to enable packaging of this kind to be used for the safe transport of a multiplicity of items for sale, in the form of dispensers, tubes, bottles, etc., as well as for displaying the items in an appropriate configuration in the sales area and allowing the customers to remove items easily, without the need for additional, separate, individual packaging for each item in folding boxes. This aim is achieved by locating a double liner (3) made of double-corrugated cardboard flat on the inside of the floor (7) of the tray (2), the liner being formed by folding a cut-out piece of double-corrugated cardboard over at a scored line (15) and having at least one row of stamped-out holes (22, 23, 24, 25) passing through both layers so that they are superimposed over each other in the two layers (16, 17) of the liner (3) and shaped to match the outside shape of the closures (6) of the items.
