Abstract

The invention relates to a method and a device for discharging a trimmed edge strip T cut off from a moving sheet W of material. The task to be achieved consists in discharging the trimmed edge strip T in an operationally reliable but quiet manner. To this end, a rotating receiving roller 17 and a guide roller 18 are provided which exert a guide force on the trimmed edge strip T, this guide force deflecting the strip away from the edge trimmer 10 into a discharge passage 15.
