Schlammablassorgall für Dampfkessel.
Beim Abschlammen von Dampfkessel, insbesondere Lokomotivkesseln, werden bisweilen die anlässlich von Reparaturen im Kesselbauch seitens des Wärters zurückgelassenen Eisenteile, wie Nietbolzen usw. mitgerissen und gelangen in das Schlammablassorgan, das sie dann beschädigen.
Durch die den Gegenstand der Erfindung bildende Einrichtung soll diesen Mängeln abgeholfen werden. Sie besteht im wesentlichen darin, dass die Innenwand des zum Schlammablassorgan führenden Kanals mit Rippen versehen ist, die das Eindringen grösserer Stücke verhindern, ohne dass die Gefahr einer Verstopfung durch Schlamm oder Kesselstein eintritt.
In der Zeichnung zeigt Fig. 1 die schematische Darstellung eines mit einem Sehlammablassorgan ausgestatteten Lokomotivkessels, die Fig. 2,3 bzw. 4 und 5 veranschaulichen zwei Ausführungsformen der Erfindung in zwei zueinander senkrechten Schnitten.
Es bezeichnet 1 das Schlammablassorgan, das nach Fig. 2 aus einem Hahn, nach Fig. 4 aus einem Schieber besteht. Die Innenwand des aus dem Kessel zum Schlammablassorgan führenden Kanals 2 ist mit einspringenden Rippen 3 versehen, die den Eintritt grösserer Stücke in das Sehlammablassorgan hindern. Der die Rippen enthaltende Teil der Wasserzuführung kann auch ein gesondertes Stüek 4 bilden, wie dies Fig. 4 veranschaulicht.

When steam boilers, in particular locomotive boilers, are blown down, the iron parts left behind by the attendant during repairs in the boiler belly, such as rivet bolts, etc., are carried away and get into the sludge drainage device, which they then damage.
The device forming the subject of the invention is intended to remedy these deficiencies. It consists essentially in the fact that the inner wall of the channel leading to the sludge discharge element is provided with ribs which prevent the penetration of larger pieces without the risk of clogging by sludge or scale occurring.
In the drawing, FIG. 1 shows the schematic representation of a locomotive boiler equipped with a sehlammablassorgan, FIGS. 2, 3 and 4 and 5 illustrate two embodiments of the invention in two mutually perpendicular sections.
It denotes 1 the sludge discharge device which, according to FIG. 2, consists of a tap, according to FIG. The inner wall of the channel 2 leading from the boiler to the sludge discharge organ is provided with re-entrant ribs 3 which prevent larger pieces from entering the sludge discharge organ. The part of the water supply containing the ribs can also form a separate piece 4, as FIG. 4 illustrates.
