  Betonhohlstein.

  Hollow concrete block.

The invention relates to a hollow concrete block for the production of hollow walls and consists in that four ribs with inclined side surfaces are arranged on one side of the block in such a way that the end ribs of adjacent hollow blocks lie in the wedge-shaped space between the two central webs of the opposite hollow stone come.

In the drawing, FIG. 1 shows an example of an embodiment of a hollow stone according to the invention in an isometric view, FIG. 2 shows the stone in a bond and FIG. 3 shows a piece of masonry in an isometric view.

The cross-section of the stone is rectangular with two short end ribs (a and d) and two central ribs (b and c) at the distance of the sum of the web widths of the end webs. The end and middle webs are, as illustrated in FIG. 1, wedge-shaped; the two end webs (a and d) join like keystone between the two middle webs of the opposite stone. When producing a wall the thickness of two stones, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, a hollow concrete stone wall with three cavities lying one behind the other now results.

The advantage of the invention is that because of the keystone-like engagement of the webs of one row of stones in the webs of the opposite row of stones, which are designed as abutments, in one

that in every group of walls a girder is formed which, up to a certain span and load, is strong enough to prevent minor settlements or not to be transferred to the other layers. This also prevents excessive tensions in the masonry, which could cause the weak outer plate of the hollow concrete blocks to break or at least cause the butt and bed joints to open, making the entire thermal insulation obsolete.
