Description

Reflector for electric light bulbs that can be attached directly to the glass body.

The invention relates to reflectors that can be attached to the incandescent lamp without special carrying devices and the outermost diameter of which protrudes only very little over the diameter of the incandescent lamp and thus results in an extremely small shadow cone and on the inner edge of an upstanding sleeve consisting of resilient tongues formed is, by means of which this ring disc, made metallic reflective on the concave side, can be attached directly to the neck of each incandescent lamp or, in the case of pear-shaped lamps, to this itself. According to the invention, the reflector is designed as an annular disk consisting of a plurality of parabolic, metallically reflective annular surfaces that follow one another in a step-like manner towards the outside.

Since the parabolic ring surfaces of this reflector have different focal points, this design has the advantage over the smooth reflectors that a larger part of the light rays emanating from the incandescent body is reflected parallel to the axial direction of the lamp, whereby the surface to be illuminated appears brighter.

The drawing shows this reflector in Fig. 1 attached to an incandescent lamp, partly in view, partly in section, in Fig. 2 in bottom view.

The reflector can be made from a piece of sheet metal, but of course also from any other material and consists of a parabolically concave and metallic reflective ring disc A on the underside, the outer diameter of which is only slightly larger than the diameter of the
 EMI1.1
than the bulb neck, the upwardly projecting collar B is formed, which terminates in resilient tongues d. By means of this collar B, the reflector is simply plugged onto the neck e of the incandescent lamp in the manner shown in FIG. 1 and held thereon by the tongues d.
