Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>
Rostanlage.
EMI1.1

Grate plant.
EMI1.1
The grate consists of two parts, namely a normal plan grate 1 and the inclined grate 2, designed as a pre-firing system, which can be moved by means of a lever 3 through a flap. The fuel passes through door 4 onto the inclined grate and from there onto the flat grate. In the case of good fuel, an iron plate is used instead of the inclined grate 2, on which the fuel slides down and is dried or preheated under the action of the radiant heat. In this way, the grate surface can be enlarged or reduced, depending on the quality of the fuel.
Another advantage of this arrangement is that when cleaning the fire, you can pull the good fire from the plan grate 1 onto the inclined grate 2 and then lift it using the lever 3, while the slag remaining on the grate 1 can be pulled through the door 5 into the ash chamber 6 and from there through the door 7 can be removed. After cleaning the fire, the inclined grate is tilted back and the good fire on it is opened
EMI1.2
There is a tiltable grate built in front, from which the fuel reaches the fixed grate and which is used to hold the embers during fire cleaning.
