The following mixture is particularly suitable for the stated purpose: Beeswax .................. 4 parts by weight
 EMI2.1

These ingredients are heated to about 920 ° C., then allowed to cool to about 800 ° C., at which temperature 15 parts by weight of turpentine oil are added.

A large number of finely divided metal powders of different colors can be used for the method according to the present invention, e.g. B. bronze powder, patent bronzes, etc.

The paste obtained is expediently packed in tinfoil and sold as a coating material and gloss agent for objects of various kinds. If you z. B. wants to gild an object made of leather, such as a shoe, the paste is applied with the help of a soft cloth and the object is then glossed with the help of flannel or the like. It is also possible with this method to provide paper with colored coatings in order to be able to use the same for any decorations.

If there are objects with a significant sheen, it is advisable to first wash them with turpentine oil or petrol in order to make the surface matt so that the paste adheres better.

The use of wax with an adhesive such as B. linseed oil or resin, mixed. forms an essential part of the subject matter of the present invention, regardless of whether the process is carried out by the wet route or the dry route.

If the paste is not sticky, the coloring coating does not adhere to the leather or the like. It may be useful to use a solution of waste rubber at the same time as another adhesive or by itself.

Objects which are treated by a method according to the present invention keep their smooth and shiny surface even during use, e.g. B. when bending, crumpling, etc. This property is of particular importance when putting on shoes and the leather retains its suppleness without cracking and without the colored cover itself popping off.

   PATENT CLAIMS:
1. A method for producing a gloss agent for objects of all kinds, characterized in that wax of a high melting point, such as beeswax, and ceresin are mixed with a solvent such as turpentine oil and an adhesive such as linseed oil or resin, v.'ouf
Metal powder, such as bronze powder, is mixed with this paste either before or after it is applied to the surface to be treated.
