Die vorliegende Erfindung hat einen Luftheizofen zum Gegenstand und betrifft die besondere Ausbildung der den Zug der Heizgase bei diesen Öfen steuernden Schieber und die Anordnung der Verbindungsstutzen der einzelnen Heizglieder. Das Neue der Erfindung besteht darin, dass die die Heizgase steuernden Schieber als Muschelschieber ausgebildet sind und dass die die einzelnen Heizglieder verbindenden Stutzen senkrecht übereinander liegen, sich also decken. Hiedurch wird erreicht, dass bei zurückgezogenen Muschelschiebern die Heizgase vom Feuerraum durch die Verbindungsstutzen der Heizgliader unmittelbar auf geradem Wege zum Abzugsrohr gelangen, während sie bei vorgeschobenen Schiebern
