Description
AT 398 236 BAT 398 236 B
The invention relates to a mixer tap for sanitary purposes. For some areas of application of sanitary fittings, such as shower fittings, the user expects, in addition to a slight temperature setting, a sufficient amount of water in the respective mixing position. Problems occur particularly with higher pressure differences between the cold and hot water side. So it is e.g. in England it is not infrequently the case that there is a pressure of 2 to 4 bar on the cold water side, while the pressure on the hot water side is only 0.1 to 0.3 bar. Even with the usual, thermostatically controlled, relatively complex shower fittings, it is difficult to set the desired temperature with a sufficient amount of water without a booster pump.
In a known shower head, cold water flows into the shower head via a nozzle, the cold water sucking in warm water. A disadvantage of this embodiment is that temperature changes can only be carried out very sensitively by quantity control on the cold water side, and that this embodiment is a shower-specific solution.
The object of the present invention is to eliminate this disadvantage and to create a mixer tap which is simple in its construction and reliable in its mode of operation.
The object is achieved in that a Venturi nozzle is provided with a central tube and a mixing nozzle opening into the central tube, the central tube being connected to the hot water supply and the mixing nozzle to the cold water supply, and in that a displaceable projecting into the mixing nozzle Control needle is provided.
The control needle can be displaced via a temperature handle as a rotary handle, a relatively large rotary movement resulting in only a relatively small change in temperature. This results in a very easy and sensitive setting and adjustment option.
The control needle preferably rests with its end facing away from the admixing nozzle under spring pressure against the temperature handle, which is provided with a thread which engages in a thread which is stationary with respect to the admixing nozzle.
A cold and hot water shut-off valve can be connected to the mixer tap and operated separately or simultaneously.
A possible embodiment of the mixer tap according to the invention is shown in the accompanying drawing. The present invention will now be explained in greater detail on the basis of this illustration.
A venturi nozzle 1 and a proportioning nozzle 3 are inserted into a base body 10. A housing 11 is screwed into the body 10. The venturi nozzle 1 contains a central tube 2 into which a proportioning nozzle 3 opens and two coaxial water supply paths 12, 13, of which the Inner 12 is connected to the hot water supply 4 and opens directly into the middle pipe 2 and the outer 13 is connected to the cold water supply 5 and opens into the admixing nozzle 3, through which the cold water flows into the inner pipe 2 and draws in and takes the hot water. Mixed water 14 emerges at the opposite end of the inner tube 2 and is conducted into one or more outlets of the base body 10. The amount of cold water can be regulated by moving the control needle 6 in or out of the admixing nozzle 3. In the left half of the illustration, the control needle 6 is pulled out of the admixing nozzle 3 and allows large cold water flow and thus a relatively low temperature of the mixed water 14, whereas in the right part of the illustration the control needle 6 projects so far into the opening of the admixing nozzle 3 that it only little cold water lets through, which leads to a relatively high temperature of the mixed water. The control needle 6 can be moved by turning the temperature handle 7. A thread 8 provided on the temperature handle 7 engages in a thread 9 on the housing 15 and the control needle 6 is pushed against the action of a spring 16 into the admixing nozzle 3 when the threads 8, 9 are screwed together. When screwing on, the spring acts as a restoring force to pull the control needle 6 out of the admixing nozzle 3. The two halves of the picture show different versions of this actuator. In the left half of the illustration, the spring 16 is supported on the one hand against a guide element 17 for the control needle 6 and on the other hand against the large-diameter control needle head 18. In the right half of the illustration, the spring is supported against an attachment on the housing 11 and against an attachment 19 at the end of the control needle 6.
In experiments with a mixer tap according to the illustration, a temperature range from 25 ° C to 45 · C was made possible. The pressure of the hot water was between 0 and 0.3 bar, at a water temperature of 55 'to 75'C, the pressure of the cold water at 1.8 to 6 bar, at a cold water temperature of about 14'C.
2It goes without saying that scalding protection can be provided at a suitable point, which closes the mixer tap when a certain hot water temperature is exceeded, which can be desirable when operating with a shower. 2nd
