Fig. 4 veranschaulicht dabei gleichzeitig eine unregelmässige Heftbindung, während in Fig. 5 ein Beispiel eines in gebogener Richtung sich schiangelnden Stickfadens dargestellt ist ; die dabei nötige seitliche Verschiebung des Heftfadens geschieht in gewöhnlicher Weise durch Verschiebung des stickrahmens, auf dem die Heftfäden eingezogen sind.
Während für die Stickfäden ein starker Faden verwendet wird, wie er bei ähnlichen Näharbeiten üblich ist, eignet sich für die Heft1cette zweckmässig ein dünner Faden in der Farbe des Grundgewebes.
