Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

  Hülsenförmiger Spreizdübel
 EMI1.1

 extended and bent inwards so that they lie against the face of the expansion body.

   Some embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawing. 1 shows a dowel for a machine screw, FIG. 2 shows a dowel for a wood screw, FIG. 3 shows an expansion body with a metric or Withworth thread, FIG. 4 shows an expansion body with a nut thread for a wood screw, FIG The expansion body according to FIG. 3 in a top view, FIG. 6 the arrangement of the guide ribs on the expansion sleeve, and FIG. 7 a section along the line AB in FIG. 6.

   The dowel according to FIG. 1 consists of the expansion sleeve 4 and the expansion body 2. The expansion body 2 is designed with a nut thread for a screw bolt 1. The expansion sleeve 4 and the expansion body 2 are made of a tough, hard and aging-resistant plastic. So that the expansion body 2 cannot rotate when the fastening screw is applied, it is provided with outer longitudinal grooves 3, 3 ′ into which ribs 5, 5 ′ attached to the inside of the expansion sleeve 4 engage. After the expansion body 2 has been inserted into the expansion sleeve 4, the part of the ribs 5, 5 ′ that protrudes beyond the end face of the expansion body is thermally bent inward.

   If an object is to be fastened to masonry, concrete or the like with wood screws, the expansion body 2 is designed with a nut thread 9 for wood screws. 2 shows a dowel with a wood screw 10 partially screwed into the thread 9 of the expansion body 2.

   The expansion sleeve 4 is provided with inner longitudinal slots 6, which facilitate the expansion of the sleeve when the fastening screw is tightened. So that the dowel 1 inserted into a hole in the wall already has a certain hold against twisting,

 before the fastening screw is tightened, wedge-shaped ribs 8 are arranged at the end of the sleeve, which jam in the wall hole when the dowel is inserted.
