  OTTO FÖRSTER IN WERNIGERODE.

   Hohler Formstein.

  OTTO FÖRSTER IN WERNIGERODE.

   Hollow shaped stone.

The previously used hollow shaped stones, open on one side, have the disadvantage that they break easily during transport. As can be seen from Fig. 1 of the drawing. this drawback is eliminated according to the present invention by the fact that the side
 EMI1.1
be kept, which latter before using the stone, z. B. for the purpose of filling the cavity with cement einschlag'wird. In order to avoid the stone being broken up when the web is hammered in, slots m are arranged on each side of this web. The stone body f surrounding the cavity 9 can have any shape and the invented device can of course also be used for hollow stones with a square cross-section.

The cavity can also, as FIG. 1 shows, taper upwards and downwards or only, as shown in dashed lines, taper upwards. In Fig. 2, for. B. illustrates the use of such stones to produce a solid ceiling.

After hammering in the webs, the stones are arranged on a board formwork in such a way that the individual cavities form channels extending over the span, which are filled with cement or concrete for the purpose of producing mortar ribs after inserting iron inserts of suitable cross-section. The stone can also be used as a solid stone, in which case the bridge is not hammered.
