Process for the production of gas-clouded enamels and glazes.
The invention relates to a method for producing gas-blown enamels and glazes, in particular for sheet metal. The invention consists in the fact that those metals, alloys, metalloids or mixtures of these substances are used to produce the gas opacity which are used during firing or.
Melting process through interaction with constituents of the enamel mass develop hydrogen or the like.
According to the invention, this evolution of gas serves to cloud the enamel white.
Those metals, alloys, metalloids or mixtures of these substances are suitable for carrying out the method according to the invention. which do not react with the enamel mass or with the enamel sealer at the dry temperature, u. between metals, such as B. aluminum, zinc. Iron, nickel, etc. or metalloids, such as. B. silicon.
When carrying out the method, the metal, metalloid or the like can be in finely divided form; z. B. as colloid, dust form or the like. Blended with the enamel mass or with the enamel thickener, if necessary also ground on the mill, with those metals or metalloids that do not discolor the enamel are useful as mill additives.
Example: 0 # 2 g zinc, 6 g clay, 45 g water and 100 g enamel mass.
Instead of zinc, a metalloid such as. B. silicon can be used.
