Description

 EMI1.1

Like any other wooden spoon, this wooden spoon consists of a spoon plate and a handle. The essence of the invention lies in the peculiar design of the spoon plate. This has the usual, trough-shaped depression on the upper side and is provided with circular openings in a manner known per se so that the adhering liquid can run off when food is removed from vessels. According to the invention, the back of the spoon plate is also concave, so that the spoon can also be used successfully as a whisk. If you turn it around its stem axis, be it clockwise or vice versa, it gives the liquid surrounding it a powerful rotation in both cases.

In the case of an ordinary wooden spoon, on the other hand, only the concave top, but not the convex bottom, would be sufficiently effective. The arrangement of the holes also proves to be of advantage here, since the liquid which penetrates through them is set in a whirling motion when the spoon is turned.

The drawing shows the spoon in an exemplary embodiment in Fig. 1 in a front view and in Fig. 2 in cross section. A is the spoon plate, b are the holes and c is the concave recess in the back, d is the handle. The edges of both the bottom and the top are sanded off, which can also be seen from the drawing.
