Edging for expansion joints for covering surfaces.
A jointless pavement on streets, squares etc. must have expansion joints so that the surface is prevented from tearing as much as possible. To delimit such expansion joints to be filled with bitumen or the like, angle irons, flake irons and straight boundary strips made of granite or the like have previously been used. However, the known surrounds have the disadvantage that the car
EMI1.1
This arrangement ensures that when leaving one joint edge, the wheels already find their support on the boundary of the other and damage to the edges due to hard hitting the wheels is prevented.
Such edging can be made of cast iron, roll iron, or other metal. They are installed when the roads are made, e.g. B. concreted in, so that clean and good-looking expansion joints are created, which are then later poured in a known manner with bitumen or the like. To prevent water from penetrating the sub-floor.
The subject of the invention is shown in several examples in the drawing. 1 shows a plan view of an expansion joint provided with the enclosure, FIG. 2 shows a section along the line AB in FIG. 1, FIGS. 3 and 4 show other embodiments of the enclosure and FIG. 5 shows a section to FIG. 4th
With vit a the plaster is z. B. made of concrete, in which the expansion joint b is arranged. According to FIGS. 1 and 2, angle irons c and eI anchored by bolts serve to border the joints, the part of which forming the actual delimitation of the joint is provided with interlocking teeth and cll bridging the joint. The shape of these projections can be any, for. B. be trapezoidal according to Fig. 3 or round according to Fig. 4 and 5, and the individual teeth can be designed differently on one and the same enclosure.
