  Electron tube.

The purpose of the present invention is to secure the effect of double-grid or triple-grid tubes by simpler means than by increasing the number of electrodes, which has hitherto been considered necessary, which makes the construction and manufacture of the electron tubes considerably more difficult and which Increased cost of tubes. This purpose is achieved according to the invention in that instead of a simple wire for the production of the grid electrode, a bundle of two or more combined but mutually insulated wires is used, which bundle, like the simple wire, is brought into the usual shape of a grid electrode becomes.

The two, three or more wires that are insulated from one another and form the bundle can of course also be led out of the tube in an insulated manner and can then be switched in any way to achieve the desired effect.

As a rule, it is sufficient to oxidize the surface of the wires used for such electrodes in order to obtain the desired insulation of the individual wires from one another.

The wires can either lie parallel to one another or they can also be rotated around one another.

It is clear that in this way the structural design of a multiple grid tube can be considerably simplified, and tests have shown that the mode of operation of the tube remains the same as when the grids are arranged separately in the known manner.
