  Verfahren zur Herstellung von Phosphorsäure. 



   Bei der Herstellung von Phosphorsäure durch Verbrennen von Phosphor oder phosphorhaltigen Gasgemischen mit Luft findet durch die grosse   Wärmeentwieklung   der Phosphorflamme ein starker Angriff der Ausmauerung statt. 



   Es wurde gefunden, dass man diesen AngTiff wirksam vermeiden kann, wenn man die Wand der Verbrennungskammer mit Phosphorsäure ständig berieselt, wobei gleichzeitig wenigstens eine teilweise Absorption des bei der Verbrennung entstehenden Phosphorpentoxyds stattfindet. Man kann die Berieselung in verschiedener Form ausführen ; z. B. in der Art, dass man die Verbrennungskammer als horizontal liegendes Drehrohr ausbildet, in dem aus einem Vorrat von Phosphorsäurelösung ein Teil durch die Bewegung des Rohres, gegebenenfalls unter Verwendung an sich bekannter Hilfsmittel, immer mit hoch genommen wird. Eine andere Ausführungsart besteht darin, dass man die Reaktionsgase als Flamme in einen senkrechten Schacht von unten oder von oben hineinführt, dessen Wände mit der Phosphorsäurelösung bespült werden. 



   Nach einem älteren Vorschlag, der sich mit dem Problem beschäftigt, diese   Wärmeentwicklung   unschädlich zu machen, soll die Verbrennungskammer von aussen durch Wasser gekühlt werden, ohne dass bereits in der Kammer eine Bildung von Phosphorsäure stattfindet. Es ist ferner auch vorgeschlagen worden, das entstehende Pentoxyd durch Einführung von Wasserdampf in den Verbrennungsraum in Phosphorsäure überzuführen oder die Hydratisierung und Absorption in Rieseltürme abseits des Verbrennungsraumes vorzunehmen, wobei jedoch keine Kühlung der Verbrennungskammerwände stattfindet.

   In the production of phosphoric acid by burning phosphorus or gas mixtures containing phosphorus with air, the large amount of heat generated by the phosphorus flame causes a strong attack on the lining.



   It has been found that this attack can be effectively avoided if the wall of the combustion chamber is continuously sprinkled with phosphoric acid, at the same time as at least partial absorption of the phosphorus pentoxide produced during combustion takes place. The sprinkling can be carried out in various ways; z. B. in the way that the combustion chamber is designed as a horizontally lying rotary tube, in which a part of a supply of phosphoric acid solution is always taken up by moving the tube, if necessary using aids known per se. Another embodiment consists in introducing the reaction gases as a flame into a vertical shaft from below or from above, the walls of which are flushed with the phosphoric acid solution.



   According to an older proposal, which deals with the problem of rendering this heat development harmless, the combustion chamber should be cooled from the outside by water without the formation of phosphoric acid already taking place in the chamber. It has also been proposed to convert the pentoxide formed into phosphoric acid by introducing water vapor into the combustion chamber or to carry out hydration and absorption in trickle towers away from the combustion chamber, although the walls of the combustion chamber are not cooled.
