Abstract

Métodos para predecir la probabilidad de que ocurra un embarazo en un mamífero hembra que experimenta un ciclo estral, antes de que la hembra experimente reproducción, inseminación artificial o transferencia de embriones. El método comprende poner en contacto un tejido mucoso en el mamífero con una combinación de al menos una antocianina y al menos un pigmento flavonoide para generar una respuesta de color en la composición a una longitud de onda de 370 a 450 nm; medir la respuesta de color a una longitud de onda de 370 a 450 nm; y usar la respuesta de color para determinar la probabilidad de que ocurra un embarazo. El método se puede usar para decidir si inseminar o reproducir a un mamífero o no, o transferir un embrión al mamífero.
