Abstract
Un método de recuperación de productos químicos de la fabricación de pulpa de madera a partir de un licor negro producido en un proceso de fabricación de pulpa de madera en donde el proceso involucra quemar el licor negro en una caldera de recuperación para formar ceniza que contiene altos niveles de carbonato así como también sodio, potasio y cloruro. La ceniza es disuelta para formar una solución de ceniza disuelta que se dirige hacia una unidad de primera etapa de cristalización que concentra la solución de ceniza disuelta y que da lugar a la precipitación de sulfato de sodio y carbonato de sodio. A continuación la solución de ceniza disuelta concentrada se dirige hacia una unidad de segunda etapa de cristalización que enfría adiabáticamente la solución de ceniza disuelta concentrada para formar un lodo de glaserita y una corriente de purga que resulta rica en cloruro. Con el objetivo de reducir la tendencia a cristalizar del carbonato de sodio y la burkeita en la unidad de segunda etapa de cristalización y para inducir la cristalización de glaserita pura en el cristalizador, el método involucra mezclar una fuente de sulfato, tal como sulfato de sodio o ácido sulfúrico, con la solución de ceniza disuelta concentrada corriente arriba del cristalizador.
