Un dispositivo de energía y control (1) para aplicaciones de media tensión caracterizado porque comprende: una unidad de energía y control (2) que tiene un primer puerto de alimentación (21) acoplable eléctricamente con un elemento de suministro de energía eléctrica (60); un primer dispositivo de control (3) acoplado operativamente a dicho primer puerto de alimentación, dicho primer dispositivo de control está adaptado para evitar la alimentación eléctrica de dicha unidad de energía y control a través de dicho primer puerto de alimentación, cuando la temperatura operativa de dicho dispositivo de energía y control es menor que un primer valor umbral (TH1) indicativo de una temperatura operativa a mínima prevista para dicha unidad de energía y control.
