Abstract

Procedimiento para la preparación de celulosa con baja concentración de lignina, caracterizado por una combinación de etapas, en que a) un material lignocelulósico es tratado con una solución acuosa que contiene un alcohol C₁₋₆ y tiene pH 10 a 14, a una temperatura inferior a 100ºC y la solución acuosa en la cual la lignina separada de la lignocelulosa esta disuelta, se separa de los sólidos que consisten en un material enriquecido en celulosa y hemicelulosa, b) la hemicelulosa es separada del material enriquecido con celulosa y hemicelulosa obtenida en la etapa a), c) el material obtenido en la etapa b) con menor concentración de hemicelulosa, es tratado en solución alcalina con un sulfito alcalino, alcalinotérreo o sulfito de amonio, tal como Na₂SO₃ y/o con oxígeno con lo cual se disuelve la lignina y se obtiene celulosa con baja concentración de lignina; y celulosa obtenida por el procedimiento.
