Abstract

Se proveen composiciones y métodos para reducir el nivel de nornicotina y N'-nitrosonornicotina (NNN) en plantas de tabaco y partes de las mismas. The methods are applicable in the production of tobacco products that have reduced levels of nornicotine and its carcinogenic metabolite, NNN, and thus a reduced carcinogenic potential for those individuals who consume these tobacco products or who are exposed to secondary smoke derived from them. products.
