Abstract
La presente invencion se refiere en general a sistemas coloidales, que pueden incluir partículas coloidales y/u otros tipos de partículas. Un aspecto de la invencion se refiere en general a un sistema que comprende gotitas fluidas que pueden estar por lo menos parcialmente solidificadas, por ej., para formar partículas coloidales. En algunas formas de realizacion, se forman partículas que comprenden una fase externa por lo menos parcialmente solida que encapsula una fase interna. La fase interna puede ser cualquier fase, por ej., un solido, un líquido o un gas. En algunos casos, solidificar por lo menos una porcion de la fase externa de las gotitas para formar partículas puede incrementar la estabilidad de las partículas y/o el sistema coloidal que contiene a las partículas. En un conjunto de formas de realizacion, fundir o licuar la fase externa de las partículas (por ejemplo, calentando la partícula hasta una temperatura por encima de una temperatura umbral) puede permitir la liberacion de un agente contenido dentro de la fase interna, y/o permitir que la fase interna se suelde con una fase externa a las partículas. La temperatura de fusion de la fase externa puede ser controlada en algunas formas de realizacion de una manera tal que la fase externa se funda por encima de una temperatura predeterminada. En algunas formas de realizacion, las partículas pueden formarse de un modo esencialmente libre de un agente estabilizador auxiliar. En algunas formas de realizacion, un agente puede ser encapsulado dentro de una partícula con eficacia relativamente elevada. Otros aspectos de la invencion se relacionan en general con métodos para elaborar y utilizar estos sistemas coloidales, por ej., que contienen dichas partículas, kits que incluyen dichos sistemas coloidales, o similares.
