Abstract
Las realizaciones de una cuchilla de trocar microvitreorretiniana pueden tener una superficie superior y una superficie inferior que convergen para formar bordes cortantes. Cada una de la superficie superior y la superficie inferior tiene un gran vértice redondeado para aumentar al máximo el área de la cuchilla. Cada superficie tiene además regiones concavas que pueden formar los bordes cortantes. Hacer avanzar la cuchilla de trocar MVR dentro del tejido hace que el tejido entre en contacto con los vértices de las superficies superior e inferior. Los vértices arrastran al tejido para que entre en contacto con los bordes cortantes. Los bordes cortantes practican una incision en el tejido de manera tal que la incision tiene el tamano adecuado para alojar una cánula de trocar. La geometría de la superficie superior y la superficie inferior asegura que los accesorios de la cuchilla no sobresalgan de manera radial fuera de la envoltura diametral del eje.
